HISTORY

Pickleball players and friends of pickleball formed the Prescott Pickleball Association and partnered with the City of Prescott and Yavapai County for building and maintaining the state-of-the-art Prescott Pickleball Courts at the Pioneer Park Sports Complex. Prescott got its first 8 public pickleball courts in May 2017. Our Four More fundraising project enabled us to open 4 additional courts in 2019 for a total of 12 dedicated pickleball courts.  PPA continues to add amenities such as LIGHTS for courts 9-12 (2020), an Terrace with seating behind courts 1-8 , Shade Structure (built in 2022) and more future projects.  Courts 1-8 were resurfaced in April 2023 by the City of Prescott. The association is organized for fostering and promoting amateur athletics within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. It will advance and promote the playing of pickleball as a means of sportsmanship, physical fitness, and healthful recreation. Please continue supporting PPA through membership and donations for future expansion.
